We really want to walk up the isle while someone sings. The idea is to have one song walking up the isle and the other when leaving. The songs are Marry You by Bruno Mars and a Million Love Songs by Take That. We’ve not managed to find someone so far who can do this sort of thing. If you’re near to Glasgow please get in contact.

The UK live music industry is full of opportunity — but also competition. From weddings to festivals, clubs to corporate events, organisers are constantly hiring.
Key sectors hiring live acts:
Weddings: Over 300,000 annually — most include live music
Corporate events: Product launches, staff parties, conferences
Nightlife venues: Clubs, bars, and lounges
Hospitality: Hotels, holiday resorts, cruise lines
Private parties: Birthdays, anniversaries, garden events
Festivals and seasonal shows: Peak season runs spring to late summer
2. Building Your Profile
Treat your profile like a shop window. It should clearly show who you are and what you offer.
Include:
High-quality performance photos
A short, sharp demo video (2–3 mins)
Genre tags (specific is better)
A clear list of your equipment
Real-world experience and venue names
An updated availability calendar
Tip: Profiles with video demos get 3× more responses than text-only profiles.
3. Where to Find Gigs
Relying on word-of-mouth alone won’t cut it. Mix your approach:
Music job platforms (like this one)
Venue and event websites
Local Facebook groups
Wedding and entertainment directories
Direct outreach to venues and planners
Your own musician network
Timing tip:
Wedding gigs peak Jan–Mar, Christmas events book in autumn, and festivals recruit early in the year.

Share past gigs that match
Confirm travel/logistics
Be clear with your pricing
